Now as you bitstream the hd audio you can leave it at that and you will still get bitstream hd audio, however if your bluray only has a pcm soundtrack you will need to retick the the pcm sound boxes. With games however i could hear no difference between the ps3 doing the decoding or the amp so i just leave it as the default.

"Bitstream" would be the ideal way (this will pass through the original soundtrack format untouched from the player => receiver decodes it), but I guess the problem is that e.g. PS3 won´t support "bitstream" via HDMI yet (am I correct?)..
