Bitstream with the PS3 via HDMI. The only way I know of is to go into sound options and disable all your 5.1 and 7.1 options. This will force the PS3 to send that bitstream Dolby PLII so your AVR and matrix it into 5.1. It works but kind of a pain as you need to turn these options back on for PS3 and BD/DVD movies.
