I'm having some issues with my PS3 playing XviD and DivX files where the audio and image slowly get more and more out of sync. HI; I have the HD TV version.1 and been experincing problem with alot of DIVX movies. The issue is visiable after 10 or 15 minutes of movies when sound and picture are out of sync. The movies are in DIVX format and are converted correctly. The all can be played without any issue via PC, XBOX, Laptop (Windows Media Player, VLC and etc).

Okay, I assume that TMPGEnc will encode both Video & Sound of the DivX file? So, it has uncompressed audio. Anyway, to match up the sound with the video, load file into TMPEnc, click on 'setting', then advanced, click source range box, then double click on 'source range' A window will then open up that allows you to select the start and end frames of the encode.

Records in 1080p 60fps. However the bitrate for the video is 30Mbps which doesn't seem like much but I regularly see the PS3 playback drop to 24Mbps or even less than 20Mbps at times. If the sync wanders away as the AVI progresses, you must adjust the video framerate to achieve sync at the end of the DivX. If you are sync'd at the start, and at the end, and the sync wanders around in the middle of the program, you're bunned ;^( Ask back here if you have any problems. Regards

Open your file in VirtualDub. Go to Audio>Interleaving and experiment with the 'Audio Skew Correction' setting (1000 ms = 1 second). Make sure both Video and Audio are set to 'Direct Stream Copy' and then File>Save As AVI. Play your new file and check the sync. If it's still not right just repeat the process until it's OK.
