I set the video settings in the ps3mediaserver to use "audio high fidelity". I then played the same 5.1 mixed FLACs (the flaming lips - yoshimi), one time using the music section of the XMB(ps OS) and a second time I created an .iso image from the the FLACs and played it using the video section of the XMB.

Jan 9, 2010. #1. Hi, I have a Quad Core PC and PS3 Media Server installed out of the box. With VISTA, streaming was working perfectly. Now that i have bought a new harrdrive and installed windows 7, when playing 1080p mkv's, there is so much stuttering. For some reason, every track is listed two times (not in the TRANSCODE folder but in the "normal"). First each track appears with <filename> [Audio High Fidelity] and then it appears with it's tag title only (Which I would deem to be the correct thing). The first entry (the [Audio High Fidelity] one) won't play, but the second does.
