The VOB files are 4GB plus in size, and hence why I have them on the PC rather than on an external USB drive connected to a PS3. When I use PS3 Media Server to play the films I have noticed that after about 1 hour or so the video and audio go out of sync. The audio stays at the current speed but the video seems to skip about.

First I'll start by saying I use my PS3 to connect to my Plex server (via wired LAN, so no internet or wireless issues could be to blame). I have over 400 movies and only and about 20 come up with a corrupt file when I go to play it on my Ps3. I use Tversity as my media server. I can play all the movies on my pc but when I turn on the PS3 it shows the title of the movie like it's all good, but when I hit enter to play the movie it waits a few seconds and comes back corrupt file.

Previously I had audio sync problem with an .AVI file, but since I have set the same frame rate as in the video track it works okay. Now I am not sure if it was the cure for the problem, because I did it on the .VOB file as well, but it didn't help.
