If I "pulseaudio --kill" then the sound via HDMI works just fine. I recently also had troubles with no sound via speakers, pulseaudio --kill fixed that (see the @edit's at the end of the post). Also for Audacious: If it uses ALSA Output with -> Pulseaudio default server -> No Audio If it uses ALSA Output with -> Speakers -> Normal Audio
