Unless you are using analog outputs from your Blu-ray player, HDMI is the only way to get the full resolution of the Blu-ray Pure Audio discs to your receiver. I’ve listened using analog from my Oppo BDP-105 and over HDMI. I typically use HDMI as the digital section of my receiver is better than the analog section, so it provides better sound.
