PWM (Part 2) - Sound and Frequency with Piezo Buzzer. In previous tutorial, we had fun by controlling the brightness of a LED, using PWM. This time, we're going to have even more fun with a piezo buzzer, or a small speaker. If you remember, …

Show activity on this post. Pre-empting the fact that the Raspberry Pi Zero has no analogue headphone jack - has anybody managed to setup the audio such that a Piezo Speaker directly attached to a GPIO PWM pin would make a sound? audio pwm. Share.
Converting PCM WAV audio to a sequence of PWM data to play ...
https://forum.arduino.cc/t/converting-pcm-wav-audio-to-a-sequence-of-pwm-data-to-play-on-a-piezo-speaker/342053
How should one go about converting such PCM .wav file to a PWM sequence of pitch-duration pairs so that it could be reproduced on a piezo speaker? For homophonic audio such as in the above Outrun tune which was originally played back on a PC speaker, such conversion could be more or less perfect(?) (For arbitrary PCM data, it can of course ...
Piezo sounds PWM/PCM | Microchip

Piezo sounds PWM/PCM Hi All, Anyone know a way of converting wav files to PWM frequencies for playback on a piezo sounder? I thought I could use Wav -> PCM -> h tools but that's doesn't work (has to be PWM through a low pass filter to a speaker). I have a nice piezo sounder setup on a PC24F on which I can play pure tones/notes and sweeps etc.
Driving a piezo speaker with a PIC - Northwestern ...
http://hades.mech.northwestern.edu/index.php/Driving_a_piezo_speaker_with_a_PIC
The piezo speaker is driven by the PWM output of the PIC (Pin 17, RC2/CCP1). A 1K ohm resistor was added between the PIC and the speaker to limit the current being drawn by the speaker. A potentiometer may be used instead of a fixed resistor, which can act as a volume control. To the right is an example of how to wire the circuit.
