I have a Collins R-392 on the bench. I recently bought a module that seller said was for an R390A, but I new it was an audio module from An R392. I bought it and an IF module from the seller. for spare parts. When IT got here i noticed that in place of the 26A7 audio tube, it had what looked like a solid state can type module plugged in. Not sure.

Then it's possible to connect an amplified mike base (like the TUG-8) with a crystal mike head using a UG-77 connector with the mike connected to pin A rather than pin C.
