I tried RaceView for awhile in Firefox 10.0.2 and had audio problems but so was everyone else. It was a problem on their end at the beginning of the shootout. I’ve never installed the video player so I don’t know if it actually would have worked or not. The scanner audio in PitCommand, which is still a Java application, worked just fine.

The RaceView Diagnostics page may be outdated. They should have either updated it or removed it. I haven't been able to find a current system requirements page for Scanner, but the page for RaceView says it requires the Java and Windows Media Player plug-ins.

For debugging purposes, go to the Java Control Panel -> Advanced Tab -> Click “ + ” by Java Console and select “ Show console “. This way, as soon as anything Java starts, the console will appear and you can see any errors or other information. After you know everything is working you can set it back to “Hide console”.

Raceview and Scanner also do tend to have quite few technical issues. Sometimes the audio won't work, the birds eye view thing will freeze up occasionally, sometimes the blips don't show up correctly and sometimes it won't load up at all. Raceview also does not work on Google Chrome due to one of the required plug in's not being supported by Chrome.
