I've tried but couldn't get proper HDMI sound with 5450 under XP. It's always messing with chanells and resamples *everything* to 192kHz, so bitstreaming DD/DTS just not possible. It's better to use S/PDIF (toslink or coaxial) connection under XP. Also try program MonInfo, it shows video/audio options you can use with your DVI/HDMI connection.
