Now on my old windows (7) installation this seemed to happen automatically but on my new one (10) it doesn't. I thought setting the default audio device to the TV would do it, but no it insist on still trying to send it that way even when the device isn't even active / plugged in. . . . which is moronic.

EDIT: I tried to disable my monitor audio under device manager in hopes that the buffer was simply too small and therefore the rest of the devices was simply not showing, but rainmeter still displays the monitor device id
