I hear ya brother. My first XBMC setup was on a $50 mk-808 (dual core android mini-pc). While it has its shortcomings, it is super fast compared to the R-Pi. 5. zotac zbox ID82 is nearly perfect for xbmc, it has Optical audio output, Giagbit LAN rj45, remote controller, can install both window and linux. Dual boot to openelec and normal window/linux OS. But it still has fan and is expensive. $300+. Probably, I will go for zotac zbox ID82 instead of XCY X-26.
