Ever since I built my computer in January, I've had audio dropouts from the Realtek ALC892 8-channel high definition audio codec that came on my motherboard. These dropouts occur on all 3 of my bootable drives. I'm wondering if one of the driver files is checking for updates or something and THAT'S what's causing the dropouts.

Sonar DOES work with ASIO4ALL and the Realtek drivers, but bare in mind that this is a fairly POOR solution. You are better off getting a dedicated interface or even using HDMI audio which works far better than the Realtek Drivers. Also the version of the Realtek drivers you are using come into play. Some versions seem to be better than others.

Modifying the Xonar drivers to work with windows 10 (they wouldnt by default) allowed the sound to be loud enough, but the drivers not being correct kept causing sound glitches that I would rather get rid of by using compatable drivers on the realtek. Any ideas if I can get the realtek loud enough?

upon opening the device manager, Realtek High Definition Audio is not under sound, video, and game controllers so I didn't see the need to uninstall from there. I did however, uninstall Realtek from Control Panel Programs. After installing the driver and extracting the files, I clicked on setup and followed the steps.
