It upconverts SD-DVD to 720p and looks really good. It also passes the AC3 audio out its optical Digital connector to the AV receiver. However, neither the Tivo nor the AV receiver can handle AAC 5.1 audio (actually, I can get 2 channel stereo from the Tivo) in an mp4 file.

Good question Richard, not sure if Ripbot would allow that. I would think the easy solution would just be to use tsMuxer. It takes 10 minutes, you simply select what video/audio files you want, and it creates a new m2ts file with everything intact (I did this for Casino Royale and the file was about 1/3 less then the original Stream as it cuts out all the extra features).
