Display Lag Correction does not mitigate the problem. It' seems to be something with the Rocksmith cable. Navigating around the menus and songs in game are synchronous with the audio through the headphones but plucking a string has the input lag. Lag is present with both guitar and bass. Only constant is the cable.

If there's audio crackling when you start the game, increase MaxOutputBufferSize by multiples of 8 or 32 (288, 320,...). If you are seriously concerned about the lag there are work arounds on the pc. You can use line in instead of a USB cable which will get rid of the latency. Google rocksmith no cable and you will see many posts of people using this without a realtone cable. The delay from USB is barely noticable once you sync audio and video.
