There was a local Craigslist deal today where I picked up some RTi38s and a little CSi30 to mess around with. The 38s look like the 25Is, except they have a cloth tweeter, whereas the 25I uses the aluminum one.

The larger speaker, RTi38 will give you some more volume, and punch than the RTi28. It is easier to drive than the RTi28, IMO. That little RTi28, is a very nice bookshelf speaker. Is your non-adjustable crossover for the subwoofer? Or for your mains, or all?

If there was something like rating of audiophiles' satisfaction by their technics, Polk Audio would certainly fill the first places. We will hold up only RTi8 as a model.
