I have a Asus P5B-E mobo and a PCI Sound Blaster card SB Live. I have also tried the Sound Max audio device which is part of the mobo. Here's my problem. I have no sound from these drives for DVD video's. I can however get sound if the file is on the hard drive or from whatever application is running and standard audio cd's.
