While you can used hacked audigy2 drivers on a sbLive it's still using the Live DAC and DSP etc. so while it adds more functionality the sound quality is not there (and upgrading to hacked drivers wont suddenly give 5.1 24/96 to your 2channel 16/48 card)

I just purchased a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 because of some suspected problems with my onboard sound and now I'm finding I have no sound. The device seems to be detected but it doesn't seem to like playing any audio. The card was installed on a fresh XP MCE after the chipset drivers.
