The actual cable (under the nylon braid) is pretty thin and not robust at all... especially for a gigging guitarist. It will twist up over time and become a hassle (like coiled phone chords). Instead of the Seismic Audio stuff, I would highly recommend getting the "Monoprice" brand cables which are sold here on Amazon.

Monoprice keeps trying to sell me mic cable for their bulk. Seismic Audio doesn't sell 12/2 below 300'. The problem with searching for it is that so much A\V, in wall, stereo system wire shows up. I actually had a thread on raw wire years ago & had no luck then either

I have never heard any difference in the expensive cable and the stuff I got from Seismic. The connectors are not labeled and appear to be rather cheap but if installed in a rack and not regularly plugged/unplugged they seem to be adequate. -goodwolf I'm using almost the identical setup, and have had almost the identical experience!
