When Serviio transcodes the stream, it actually transcodes at 320, however it reports 48000 to Bubble. If the generic profile is changed to <Audio targetContainer="mp3" aBitrate="320" forceInheritance="true"> the transcoding is at 320 and the bitrate is also reported correctly as 320000.
Serviio Howto (DLNA Server with Transcoding)

Hi all, I know we have MiniDLNA, there's also MediaTomb and so on but this I believe is the best DLNA server you can run in Linux currently. It supports Transcoding of media in real time (I can transcode 720p content in real time to my Xbox 360). It will go on the Internet to fetch movie posters for movies, meta data to give Genre, Actors and su...

Needless to say, this is a problem, as a huge number of my movies have DTS audio tracks.

Serviio DLNA Server on Synology NAS

The advantage of Serviio is that rather than brute force transcoding any file that doesn't exactly fit with what your renderer device can play, it tries to salvage what it can from the existing streams and minimizes transcoding. Can't play DTS? No problem, we can transcode the audio but leave the H.264 alone. Can't play MKV on your TV?

Do I need to do anything special to force transcoding in Plex Media Server to Avia? Some of my MKVs have AC3 or other non compatible audio. Avia on the Chromecast shows the video, but no audio. I see that in the Advanced DLNA Options in Plex, there is …
