Thanks for your reply. I tried pressing eject, load, and CD for a while but all I get is "initializing". I don't think there are any CD's in there. It has been a while since I have used the changer. I usually just use AUX port. Anyone have a spare shaker 500 laying around?

1 Answer. Re: shaker 500 stereo. Start the car, turn on radio to FM, press and hold #3 and #6 buttons. (This will perform a test) then press and hold #2, then press the CD Eject button (this clears any codes), then shut off radio and car. Posted on Oct 03, 2016.

Is anyone having problems with thier system? My friend has a black V6 and tried to load a disc and got a CD ERROR displayed, his system is locked up, he has the 500. Mine seams to skip or fast forward for a second or two on a few discs I have, mine is the 1000. The dealer has no clue and the techs dont know ***** about the system.
