609 Posts. #12 · Oct 23, 2013. I'm not impressed with my Shaker Pro to any high degree! For 2013/14 Ford cheapened the system in a number of areas vs the old Shaker 1000. They replaced the dual trunk subwoofer with a single one, and reduced the max 1000w RMS down to 525w RMS. The power reduction is very evident.

The reason I'm asking is I wonder if its worth it to go 400A with Shaker Pro vs. 301A (includes Premium stereo) - it's about a $3000 difference with my car spec'd out. The only reason I'd upgrade to a GT premium is if the Shaker Pro is a substantially better sound system. Thanks for all your input.

The sound system in my '17 Ecoboost is subpar, but I have gotten a lot better bass and sound through my phone using my Napster account. I did have to adjust the settings on my phone. I plan on building my own box in the near future.

Ok, call me crazy or stupid but the Shaker Pro Audio package say it includes 12 speakers, I only count 10. 2 in each door, 1 in each A pillar and 1 in the center of the dash, that's 7. 2 in the rear behind the seats and a sub in the trunk. That's 10. I've looked, I've listened.
