then i removed the drivers. backup the hdaudio.sys file from system32 >drivers folder. and also the driver files which sigmatel installed need to be removed manually. ( you can go to device manager>sigmatel>properties>driver details ). note - that do backup the .sys files u r deleting just in case of a problem.
