SigmaTel Audio Microphone not working I have a 600M, running XP Pro + SP2. Just did a system reinstall the other day. Everything seems to be working, except my microphone. In the control panel under sounds and audio devices properties I tried to run a test hardware. It does not pick up any speech regardless of if using a headset or not.

The problem is you are probably using the Windows Default driver and the mic may not work while using it. If you have tried the Vista drivers you would need to disable the on-board audio in the BIOS and use either a USB Sound Card or an add-in audio card - neither of which is expensive (of course it would need to have a mic input).
