The Sigmatel HD audio driver is now installed and I am Happy :). Actaully as suggested earlier in this thread, I checked the device manager, there was a driver missing for PCI Bus, after it was installed the HD audio driver also got installed. Next install the Intel Mobile Chipset driver (click the + sign next to Chipset). Restart. c. Finally install the Sigmatel audio driver (click the + sign next to Audio).

Right-click MY COMPUTER, click Properties - Hardware(tab) - Device Manager(button), click the + in Sounds, Video, And Game Controllers, double-click the Sigmatel sound device, click Driver(tab), then click Roll Back Driver(button). It's my guess that you downloaded and installed the wrong driver.
