Dell Inspiron 6000 SigmaTel Audio (NOT HD) I upgraded my PC from XP to VISTA Home Premium. Red X over the sound icon. When I move the mouse over it, it says No Audio Output Device is installed. I went to the Dell website to download the driver, and they only have support for HD SigmaTel audio devices. I DO NOT have an HD device.

My sound card is properly configured in the device manager, it displays "SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC" when I mouse over my sound icon in the sys tray (that has a red X), but when I go to the volume mixer, it says "No audio device is installed".
