I siwtched the sound ingame at one point to see if that worked and then i had no sound ANYWHERE. when i switched it back i had the sound at the start screen again. I did was was on that previous post and it worked for about 3 minutes and then no sound and horrible lag. And i havent messed with my computer because its a problem in game.

Help with infuriating Sims 3 glitch-sound is completely distorted and the game is incredibly laggy. The issue: I load up the game and whenever the loading bar doohickey gets to about halfway, the loading song completely distorts. It sounds metallic and drops pitch. Additionally, the song slows down dramatically along with the loading time of the game.

If anyone disagrees, run both Sims 4 and 3 side by side, and then tell me 3 doesn't run like ♥♥♥♥. I think I'm finally throwing in the towel and moving on to Sims 4. Nice computers cause lag on Sims 3 because sims 3's engine will run at an insane framerate (I'm talking 3,000) despite the fact the game's display only refreshes at 30. In game options, you can limit fps to 60 with some graphics cards, but you may need to download 3rd party to limit it. This will help reduce lag and overheating.
