Once you have installed pavucontrol close and restart Skype, go to “Options” -> “Audio devices” and uncheck the “Allow Skype to automatically adjust my mixer levels” option. But SKYPE (version 4.2.0.11) is uncapable to connect and work with PULSEAUDIO. Each time I want to use SKYPE, I have first to desactivate PULSEAUDIO in the MAGEIA Control Center.
