Yesterday I updated the SMPlayer to the 17.10.0 (revision 8701). After update I can not hear any sound. I tried all output drivers: ALSA, pulse, oss, jack, pcm, sdl and sndio but none of them works. After that I did remove and purge smplayer* and removed .config/smplayer/ folder and reinstall SMPlayer but the problem still exists.

After upgrading to the new version, SMPlayer's new setting was the User defined Output Driver and the code said dsound:device=3. I already tried to change this number, but it didn't change the fact that sound was always routed through my main sound card, not the other one I want to use for the player.

I am using "alsa" as output driver in SMplayer settings, enabled the audio equalizer and global audio equalizer, 2 channels. I gave up on VLC for a while now, I can't even play most of the HD movies because VLC lags and freezes and is basically unusable. Any solutions to this problem? Thanks in advance.
