can someone confirm for 100% if the 3.5mm audio jack can act as audio in from a laptop while in pc input mode? or is it just audio out to be used with headphones? basically as the bravia's mpeg 4 resolution/container support is so poor, i'm thinking of just playing all from my laptop.

Important to note, with a LG tv, it works quite easy. Its a problem especially becouse when i look for the external input, in the LG tv there is a VGA option, but in the bravia there is only PC. Things i tried already: resolutions changes, or automatic resolution for the HDTV input. HDMI works well,but i dont know how to save the config on the PC.

Hi, there is usually a 3.5mm audio jackplug input next to or underneath the VGA input. so long as you connect a 3.5mm to 3.5mm lead between your PC's audio out (green) and this, then set your TV to the correct input, it should just work.
