The whole problem is that when I convert a recorded dvd from my dvd recorder to mpg and import it into vegas it has no sound at all. Vegas doesn't recognize m2v files. You'll have to convert them to MPG or go back to the VOB's and figure out how to get the sound to work (like updating to Vegas 6d).
