Look at the names of the files that don't play using "My Files" it's the yellow folder icon in your App Drawer. navigate to wherever you have your music files, and long-press on the one that doesn't play and try renaming it to an English word, possibly using "Romaji"... it should work as long as the LAST 4 characters are ".mp3" before you rename it.

PC and activate the file transfer to the PC and later unplug the phone, if the file transfer mode. is not deactivated, the music player don't play music and my ringtones have reset to default. The music player will also still play .wav files just fine - which may explain why the system sounds still work. I'm guessing that the youtube app and MP3s share a codec somehow, and something is failing to work properly.

I have had a similar issue with my Gmail voicemail files. I posted a thread about my Vonage voicemail sending a .wav file to my gmail and now after 2.2 update my phone says it wont support that format. Had a response that said that it only supported some types of .wav files, we still don't understand that one!

Support gets back to me via email and directs me to change his DOB, to delete my son from Google Family Link and lastly to go ahead and delete the brand account.
