Since you are using X-Fi Xtreme Audio card, disable all of the sound drivers except X-Fi Xtreme Audio by right click on them and disable driver and see if still has sound interference or not. Or, play something on your laptop and go to Control Panel, open Sound. On Playback tab, check out which devices has a sound and disable it.

Hi I have Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium and i got a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio Card. I have check all the settings and it seems to be correct the only problem is that when I listen to music in Itunes or windows Media Player after a few mins the music crackles and then after that it slows down randomly and then goes back to the normal speed.
