Download (if you haven't done it) the latest W7 specific drivers/software for the X-FI. Un-install any mention of that device and its drivers/softwxare. Re-boot, and then re-install the X-Fi drivers. You may have to re-boot again once the installation has finished. You should then have sound through your X-Fi. Cheers, Jerry

Click on the driver tab. Click on Update driver. Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the soundmax driver folder that was created when you ran the file. That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp45615. Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and see if the driver installs that way. Then restart the PC.
