We tried all of these things but could not get it to load. Finally we found out that I didn't have Sound Max on my computer. We went back and reloaded the sound system that was originally there and finally I had sound. We do appreciate all of the efforts and support Microsoft gave to us. Thank you so much. LindaThomasPF

Call HP at this number 1-800-334-5144, and tell them you need a set of XP recovery disks for your PC. You will need to provide the model number and serial number. Cost will be $10. A cheap price to pay to get rid of that problem. You will get two disks...an OS install disk and an application and driver disk.

try uninstalling UT2k4 and Red Orchestra and then restart..if no sound try uninstalling the sound driver again from Device Manager and re-starting...if still no sound try System Restore to a date before you installed them... if still no sound try downloading the soundmax driver...I guessing you have XP
