try removing all the realtek drivers, then reinstall the ms high def update (kb ***888, cant remember all the numbers). Then restart and when pc finds multimedia device try updating off the net. The realtek high def onboard sound tends to be painful, and of the people i know who use it for gaming, most of them have had troubles with it.
