June 2014 edited June 2014. A CATV splitter is optimized for the very high frequencies of cable TV stations. SPDIF is in a very low frequency digital band. Jun 22, 2015. #1. I'm trying to get audio from my TV to a wireless headset transmitter so my wife can use the wireless headsets while on the treadmill. The TV is hooked up to an Apple TV via HDMI.
