Both are fixed-cardioid solid-state condenser microphones with the 32mm “disk resonator” capsule pioneered by GT founder Aspen Pittman. The capsule in both mics uses a 3-micron diaphragm. Most mics around $100-200 don't typically differ a whole lot in quality in my opinion, but this mic had a pretty smooth and clean sound compared to others I've used from other brands.
