I believe this is correct for the DG510. It only passes the HDMI signal through rather than doing anything with it. This AVR doesn't handle audio via the HDMI input - the audio simply gets passed to the TV. You'll need to use the optical connection from the PS3 - which only allows for optical or HDMI, not both, so you'll need to switch back to optical in the PS3 menus.
