Well actually you can, but you don't need to. If you double-click on a file, it will open in Waveform. You invert it there, and when you return to Multitrack view, you'll find it's inverted. But the reason you don't need to is that if you open the mixer panel, you'll find at the top of each channel a Polarity Reverse button.
