I followed your advice and configured my router to forward the ports 5000 and 5001, TCP and UDP to the Synology and it works: I can connect from my iPad using DS Audio (HTTPS switch off). I can't imagine how the port 5000 (tcp) is both use for the web administration and dsaudio but I'm too lazy right now to try out other combinations.
