Edirol even made a veiled slap at Tascam's US-122 when they advertised their products have 'compatible, stable drivers' (the UA-5 and US-122, both now at end of life, were the main early external interfaces). My second Tascam USB interface. This thing is a tank, works well with Windows 7. I have recorded an full length album using this, without any issues. Simple to use, 2 Mic or instrument ports. Several knobs that are well labeled, and easy to understand. I have my studio monitors plugged straight into this unit, and a MIDI controller as well.
