Before purchase, make sure that your computer OS is compatable with the US-122MKii. I am using it with my Windows 7 mini laptop using the drivers downloaded from Tascam's website. Interface has worked flawlessly for me. I mainly use it to rough out songs I write with several guitar tracks and vocals and I have not had any issues at all.

The Tascam US 122MKII is a USB 2 channel interface. It has switchable phantom power right on it. There are two XLR inputs for mics and 2 low noise microphone preamps. It comes with Cubase LE 4 and works great with multiple DAW software programs so you do not have to use it with Cubase LE if you do not want to.

The US-122mkII has two 1/4" line inputs, an instrument input for guitars and basses, and two XLR inputs with phantom power for dynamic or condenser microphones. I actually have a Juno 6 and a Rode K2 that I keep plugged into the device. It also has MIDI input and output for use with controllers and keyboards. The device is also USB 2.0 powered.
