The audio goes directly from my PS3 to the Home Entertainment System. I have my PS3 set up to use Dolby Digital 5.1ch as the audio format. Now, I have around 50 games (give or take) and they all work perfectly fine with no problems at all. I even have Alien: Isolation, which I have no problems with at all.
