Use an HDMI (to HDMI) cable. As others have said, your DVI adapter is removing audio. You'll need to use Optical or RCA at the same time if you need to use DVI. WFP 2408: Audio out don't work with HDMI and PS3. I connect my PS3 with the 2408 flat screen over a HDMI 1.3 cable. The video works perfect, bat I get no sound over the audio output on the connector of the flat screen. I use a headphone witch works with other sound sources like my PC. Also I tested the PS3 and the HDMI cable on another flat screen.

Turns out, on the TV there is a setting under: Menu -> Sound -> Additional Settings -> SPDIF Output -> Audio Delay. This 'Audio Delay' option was set to 30. I set it to 0 and both the playstation and the xbox were then able to use the TV as an HDMI audio output.
