We're running HDMI into a DMC-4H-HD; the audio goes out of a DMC-4K-HDO via analog to a DSP. I have HDMI video working fine, and I have my audio in the cable box set to "HDMI". DM Tool shows the incoming audio stream as "LBR Compressed Multichannel 48.0kHz", which doesn't match my EDID table on the input. All other audio sources work fine.

If that isn't the issue, the next thing to check hook the TV up HDMI again, go to that input, hit settings>devices>audio coding format>make sure HDMI is selected. About a year and a half ago we had a firmware update on our boxes with a bug that would change that setting but was resolved about a month later.
