It also, however, almost has to begin with a description of the problems I’ve encountered over the years in dealing with “wires” as passive but important components. The new cable most definitely still carries the Transparent house sound, that’s something you can hear even without directly comparing it to other Transparents but there sure also are differences. After some swapping with my older Reference cable the new MM turns out to be a lot faster and agile. Bass is better articulated and still deep.

I'm currently using Transparent Music Wave Speaker cables and Music Link RCA IC's from my phono pre and DAC into my integrated amp. I'm really happy with the sound, this is my 3rd change of "audiophile" speaker cables through the years and I don't think I'll be switching to a different brand ever.

The Transparent cables are more on the dark side and while some folks prefer this I agree with your assessment of the AQs cables better clarity or ability to get out of the way of the music. If I were you I'd try some Audioquest Rocket 88 with DBS/ AQ Mackenzies interconnects it should rebuild on what you had but better then evergreen and focus without the shrillness.
