Problem with audio sync of .ts files | VideoRedo
https://videoredo.net/msgBoard/index.php?threads/problem-with-audio-sync-of-ts-files.31203/
Playback .mp4 file arising from any type of ffmpeg audio conversion from the qsf .mp4 file and then mp4box muxing with the video to a new .mp4 = terrible sync. For playback device compatibility reasons I need to convert .TS files with AC3 or MP2 etc audio into a .mp4 containing a single MP3 standard audio format (and adjust loudness to a common ...
video - Audio on TS File Falls Progressively Out of Sync ...

I've tried to do this with -vsync, but the the results are the same as the original file. The FFMpeg user guide says the following: With -map you can select from which stream the timestamps should be taken. You can leave either video or audio unchanged and sync the remaining stream(s) to the unchanged one. But I cannot figure out the syntax. This is what I'm …

The TS video won't play in VLC, Avidemux, or most of my other players. It will play if I re-encode it to MP4, but the audio is out of sync with the video. The TS video will play in SMPlayer and FFplay, and the audio is in sync until it gets to commercials. After commercials the audio is delayed--the amount of delay is close to the length of the commercials.

What it creates is an MPEG-TS file. If there's a recording I'd like to keep for longer, maybe for my private video archive, I'm converting it to an AVI encapsulated MPEG4 ASP using Avidemux. That's rather intuitive and works fine - except for one thing. In the MPEG-TS files my TV set creates, audio and video are out of sync.
Audio/video synchronization, TS MPEG2;H264/AVC ...

Synchronization has always fascinated me, or to be precise: why a .ts can be viewed in sync by media players, while the demuxed audio+video reassembled is out of sync. So I'm trying to understand this, and what can be done to prevent it.
All .ts files play perfectly and in sync. The resultant ...

Used (for %i in (*.ts) do @echo file '%i') > mylist.txt to create my list on Windows commandline. Then, ffmpeg -f concat -i mylist.txt -c copy output.ts as mentioned. From here, you can transmux to mp4 using ffmpeg -i output.ts -acodec copy -vcodec copy all.mp4 , a command I got from http://superuser.com/a/693009/680815 .
