The TAD-60 has a negative feedback control and a switch on the fly that moves the amp from Ultra linear to Triode. Biasing was simple and with Paul's instructions took about 15 minutes... The TAD-60 amplifier is built like the proverbial tank; overall appearance and heft (not to mention its specifications) in my experience indeed belie the modest asking price.

Sonically and feature wise, the TAD-60 amps are worth much more than $999 and if your nearby and want a demo, come give em a listen and decide for yourself. That sub worked great to enhance the lows in a two channel rig, but IMO it is marginal for home theatre use. (My friend thought differently). Maybe with a bigger amp....
